One night, while reading in the dark, the word “chick” in the Bible caught their interest and they decided to use it in naming their fried chicken chain in honor of themselves and their native state.
In addition to being an American institution, Chick-fil-A has become one of America’s most recognized brands. Its slogan, “Eat Mor Chikin”, became popularized during its advertising campaign featuring singer/actress Cher.
